two ghosts/fictional mess
a few fictional poems to break routine
I. two ghosts
ghosts
trying to find living
pretending
graves are just cement
restoring
out-of-order machines
covert
misdemeanor at hand
tending
paper cuts with alcohol
accusations
we dodged somehow
evidence
still stays buried
false alibis
in interrogation rooms
haunted
by the remains of us
II. fictional mess
macro lenses & electron colliders
walking the street; the limp of a jester
stepping on puddles and talking about class
I talk about big leagues and hail mary
I talk like a fictional mess
you can see me purple
I see you lying on lie detectors
I can see you laugh and return to your cigarettes
false accusations, you burn less than you kindle
you claim territories while I still my desires
~ Ash
marginal notes because I am wicked like that:
They were both written from very different perspectives.
The first one is about two people who used to know each other. Now, all that remains is a past. There is a little bit of friction, as they reminisce about something that felt good to hold, something solid, but really, it was just a relationship that came with an expiration date.
The second one is about a person who is stuck in a life with no momentum. Despising the rich and still dreaming of something that seems lucid and irrational now. Where there was a sign of life and glimmer, now resides a jealous and agitated tenant.
